Red Beryl was first found in 1904. It resembles a scarlet emerald due to its bright fire engine red colour. Red Beryl is one of the world’s rarest gemstones and have been known to reach as much as $10 000 per carat for cut stones. Red Beryl is only mined at 3 locations in the world. These locations are the Black range in New Mexico, The Thomas range and the Wah Wah mountains in west-central Utah.
